EVENING FORECAST FOR THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Synopsis: A moderate wind flow in the lower portions of the atmosphere coupled with available moisture is causing the low level atmosphere to be relatively unstable. These conditions will continue to create an environment that favors the formation of brief showers over the British Virgin Islands tonight and tomorrow.

Tonight: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a moderate chance of brief overnight and early morning showers

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a moderate chance of brief late afternoon showers

Winds: East-southeasterly at average speeds between 22-28km/h or 12-15knots with higher spells over coastal waters elevated terrain and gusting higher in some showers.

Seas: Moderate to rough with heights between 1.8-2.1m or 6-7ft. A small craft advisory is now in effect while sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.

Sunrise tomorrow:  6:12 am.

Sunset tomorrow:  5:55 pm.
