Warnings are in effect for mariners and sea bathers as rough sea conditions affect the Territory today (Monday, 17th April 2017).
The Antigua Meteorological Service in its latest forecast said waves of 7 to 8 feet are expected.
As a result, the following beaches have been red flagged: Smugglers Cove, Long Bay (Tortola), Cappoons Bay, Trunk Bay, Rogues Bay, Josiah’s Bay, Lambert Beach & Little Bay. This means no swimming is allowed as sea conditions are dangerous at those beaches.
Meantime, weak unstable weather conditions are affecting the area.
Skies today will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers. Tonight will be partly cloudy with brief passing showers.
