Territory Wide Siren Network To Be Tested In Support Of ‘Stop The Crime’ Initiative

June 13, 2017148Views

The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) will sound the siren on Friday June 16 at 4:00p.m. as a show of support for the ‘STOP the CRIME’ one-minute observance by the BVI musicians and the Lions Club with the full support of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

‘STOP the CRIME’ is a Territory wide initiative to support crime reduction.

Please note, the sound of the siren at this time (Friday June 16, 4:00p.m.) is not an indication of pending hazard impact but rather a signal of solidarity for this worthy cause.   Crime and violence poses a threat to our national security and must be addressed collaboratively.

During this test of the Territory wide siren network individuals can observe this moment for change either in silence or prayer.
