Synopsis: Despite the presence of a mid level trough that is expected to move over the islands today, low moisture levels and the strength of a surface to low level ridge will keep a lid on the major shower activity today. Tonight: Partly cloudy to locally cloudy with a chance of a brief shower

Winds: ENE E with speeds between 12 and 14kts or 22-26km/h.

Seas: Moderate: Heights 1.5-1.8m or 5-6ft; A caution is in place for small craft operators and sea bathers for marginally safe seas mainly in the coastal waters east of the islands.

Atmospheric Pressure: Above normal

Sunset today:  6:55 pm.

Sunrise tomorrow:  5:42 am.
