A layer of Saharan Dust is currently present across the Territory, reducing air quality and visibility in some areas. These conditions are expected to persist until at least Wednesday morning.

🔎 What Does This Mean?

Saharan dust carries fine particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) that can irritate the respiratory system and worsen existing health issues.

👥 Who Is at Risk?

  • People with asthma or respiratory conditions

  • The elderly and young children

  • Individuals with heart disease

  • Outdoor workers or athletes

5 Tips to Stay Safe During Saharan Dust Conditions

  1. 😷 Limit outdoor activity, especially strenuous exercise

  2. 🏠 Stay indoors as much as possible, with windows and doors closed

  3. 🌀 Use air purifiers or fans with filters indoors

  4. 💧 Stay hydrated, dust can dry out your respiratory system

  5. 🧼 Wash hands and face frequently to remove dust particles

The next update will be tomorrow at 7am or sooner if required.
