FLASH FLOOD WARNING EXTENDED UNTIL 10PM FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

November 10, 20101269Views

10TH November
2010 – 6PM-
The low pressure area presently affecting the territory is gradually
moving to the north east. The majority of the heavy showers have also moved to
the north east. As the territory is heavily saturated any additional showers especially
heavy downpours can produce flooding of low lying areas especially those with
poor drainage.

For this reason the
Antigua Meteorological Service has extended the Flash Flood Warning until 10PM
and a Flash Flood Watch until 6AM tomorrow morning.

Residents and Visitors are advised to monitor the weather conditions for any
sudden changes and visit the DDM website at www.bviddm.com for
updates. The DDM will issue the next advisory at 6AM tomorrow morning.
