The Antigua and Barbuda
Meteorological Service has issued a FLASH
FLOOD WARNING for low lying and flood prone areas of the British Virgin
Islands valid until 2 p.m. this afternoon.
A Flash Flood Warning means
that moderate to major flooding is imminent or occurring in low lying and flood
prone areas.
An active Tropical Wave
is crossing the Eastern Caribbean that is embedded with significant showers and
thunderstorms, which could result in rapid build-up of water on the ground.
Residents should
safeguard themselves against such possibilities.
