FLASH FLOOD WATCH ISSUED FOR THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Tropical storm Dorian continue on a track towards the northwest and this is maintaining a high risk of tropical storm conditions impacting these islands during the next 12 to 24 hours; As a result, a tropical storm warning remains in effect. Residents of these islands are adviced to guard against those impacts that could threaten life and property. Rainfall accumulation could total up to 127mm or 5 inches with possible higher amounts  which will lead to flash flooding. As a result, a flash flood watch is now in effect for these islands which could be upgraded at short notice
