A TSUNAMI ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS.

A tsunami advisory is issued when a tsunami with the potential to generate strong currents or waves dangerous to those in or very near the water is imminent, expected, or occurring; when or Tsunami waves reaching 0.3 to 1 meter above the tide level are possible. The Puerto Rico Seismic Network has indicated that no reports of a tsunami wave being generated have been received at this time, however the DDM will continue to monitor and provide updates accordingly.
