SEAS CONTINUE TO BE HAZARDOUS ACROSS THE BVI…WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT

7th December 2017 – Synopsis: A dominant high-pressure system will generate a moderate to fresh wind flow, which will transport pockets of low level moisture across the islands enhancing the chances of showers. Meanwhile, sea conditions continue to be hazardous.

Weather today: Occasionally cloudy with moderate or 40 percent chance of showers.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy with a low or 30 percent chance of showers.

Winds: East-northeast at 19 to 30 km/h or 10 to 16 knots.

Seas: Moderate to rough with heights of 1.8 to 2.4 m or 6 to 8 feet. A warning remains in effect for small craft operators and sea bathers, mainly on the Northern and the Eastern sides of the islands.

Sunrise tomorrow:  6:38 am.
