TROPICAL WAVE AFFECTING THE TERRITORY

A tropical wave near the Lesser Antilles this morning will continue to move westward at 15 to 20 mph. This wave is expected to move across the local Caribbean Waters today into Tuesday. Although most of the showers will remain over the Caribbean water scattered to numerous showers will affect portions of the islands from time to time. Surface winds will likely increase today to around 15 to 20 MPH as the wave moves across the local region.

Marine conditions will become hazardous today as winds and seas increase due to the tropical wave. Seas are expected to build up to 11 feet by this afternoon across the offshore waters and local passages. There is a small craft advisory in effect.
