TROPICAL WAVE APPROACHING THE BVI OVER THE WEEKEND

Weather Synopsis: A tropical wave will move across the area on Saturday
giving rise to some unsettled weather across the islands. Cloudy periods, showers and a moderate chance of thunderstorms can be expected through to Sunday across the Leeward Islands and through Monday morning across the British Virgin Islands. Otherwise, mostly dry weather will prevail with, at most, a moderate chance of showers.

Winds: East-northeasterly on Friday becoming east-southeasterly thereafter at 15 to 28 km/h or 8 to 15 knots.

Seas: Moderate to locally rough with heights 2.1 meters or 7 feet on Sunday. Otherwise seas will be moderate with heights not exceeding 1.5 meters or not exceeding 5 feet. Marine cautions and warnings may be required for Sunday.
