Sunday May 1st 2011 – A surface to low level trough will
continue to destabilize the atmosphere over the Northeastern Caribbean and hence
the chances of showers over the British Virgin Islands will be high today and
tonight.

Today: Cloudy with occasional showers.
There is also a moderate chance of thunderstorms.

Tonight: Cloudy to sometimes overcast with
numerous showers, some of which will be heavy at times and accompanied by
thunderstorms.

Winds: Easterly at 12-16kts over land
and increasing to near 20kts at times over open waters..

Seas: Moderate to locally rough
waves/swells 1.5-2.1m or 5-7ft. A small craft advisory continues for small
craft operators, particularly for the waters north of the British Virgin
Islands.

The Department of Disaster Management will continue to monitor the
weather conditions and advise the public accordingly. Please visit the DDM
website at www.bviddm.com for more information.
