WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BVI

9th January 2019 – The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services has indicated a fairly weak pressure gradient will maintain a gentle windflow across the region. Some shallow moisture lingering in the atmosphere will also maintain a moderate chance of some light showers.

Weather Today: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a 50 percent or moderate chance of showers.

Weather Tonight: Partly cloudy with a 40 percent or moderate chance of some light showers.

Winds: Easterly today at 11 to 22 km/h or 6 to 12 knots then shifting to the East-southeast tonight at 6 to 15 km/h or 3 to 8 knots..

Seas: 1.2 to 1.5 metres or 4 to 5 feet. Breaking swells will produce surfs that could become hazardous for beachgoers; therefore, a High Surf Advisory is in effect.

Sunset today:  5:59 pm.

Sunrise tomorrow:  6:48 am.
