WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BVI

Please see four day weather synopsis for the British Virgin Islands valid until 8AM Friday April 29th 2016.

Synopsis: Weakening ridge of high pressure along with a dry and stable atmosphere will remain the dominant features across  the Northeast Caribbean for the next two days. Therefore shower activity over the islands for Monday and Tuesday will be restricted to  just some light and localized showers due to daytime heating  effects. However, starting Wednesday and continuing Thursday  a surface trough advancing towards the area from the west will  bring some instability and some moisture into the area and  hence increase the chance of showers across the islands.
Winds:
A weakening pressure gradient will keep the winds light to  gentle with a southerly flow for the next three days. By Thursday  a more easterly flow with an increase in the speeds is expected.

Seas:
Tranquil seas will prevail in the coastal waters around the  islands. Heights are not expected to exceed 6 feet.
