Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate later this morning as an upper trough will approach the region from the west and moisture accompanying a cold front will begin to spread across the region. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue over the Atlantic and Caribbean waters during the day affecting the Islands from time to time.
Mariners can expect seas up to 5 feet and winds of 10 to 15 knots across the local waters. Small craft operators should exercise caution offshore Atlantic waters. Showers and thunderstorms can create periods of hazardous marine conditions over portions of the local waters.
