WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BVI

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BVI

Synopsis: Fresh winds will maintain hazardous seas. These winds will also result in weak instability in the lower atmosphere. However, diverging winds at the lower levels and converging winds aloft will inhibit shower activity.

Weather tonight: Occasionally cloudy with a 40 percent or a moderate chance of brief showers.

Weather tomorrow: Occasionally cloudy with a 60 percent or a moderate chance of brief showers, mainly before midday.

Winds: East at 22 to 37 km/h or 12 to 20 knots, gusting over 46 km/h or 25 knots at times, mainly over open waters and elevated terrains.

Seas: Moderate with significant wave heights of 1.5 to 2 metres of 5 to 7 feet. A small craft advisory is in effect; inexperienced mariners should avoid open waters, especially on the eastern side of the islands.

Sunrise tomorrow:  5:45 am.

Sunset tomorrow:  6:45 pm.
