Synopsis: As an area of disturbed weather continues to move northeastwards away from the area, trailing moisture and instability from this system coupled with light winds and daytime heating could move across the area and maintain a moderate chance for shower activity over and around the islands today, with these chances diminishing by tonight.

Weather today: Partly sunny skies, with brief cloudy spells and a 50 percent or moderate chance of brief passing showers.

Weather tonight: Mostly fair and chilly conditions.

Winds: Northerly at 7 to 19 km/h or 5 to 12 mph becoming variable or calm at times.

Seas: 1.5 to 2.4 metres or 5 to 8 feet consisting mainly of northerly swells. Therefore a high surf advisory remain fairmly in place for the west, north and eastern coastlines.
