WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BVI

18th July 2018 – Synopsis: A tropical wave will move over the area tonight resulting in unsettled weather conditions. Meanwhile, a moderate to fresh wind flow will keep sea conditions slightly above normal for the forecast period.

Weather today: Partly cloudy to cloudy and hazy with a 40 percent or a moderate chance of showers mainly this afternoon.

Weather tonight: Generally cloudy and slightly hazy with a 70 percent or a high chance of showers and a 20 percent or a slight chance of a thunderstorm.

Winds: Easterly with speeds ranging between 19 to 33 km/h or 10 to 18 knots. Seas: Moderate with significant wave heights of 1.2 to 1.8 metres or 4 to 6 feet. Small craft operators should be cautious especially when venturing in to open waters on the Atlantic side of the island.
