Synopsis: Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave will increase the chance of showers over the BVI later this afternoon

Today: Partly cloudy this morning with occasional cloudy spells and scattered showers and a chance of brief thunderstorms this afternoon

Tonight: Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered evening showers

Winds: East to east- northeasterly at an average between 12-15knots or 22-28km/h increasing to an average between 15-18 knots or 28-33km/h over coastal waters and elevated terrain with higher gust in showers.

Seas: Rough: Heights between 2.1-2.8m or 7-8ft;Warnings are now in effect for small craft operators and sea bathers against hazardous seas.

Atmospheric Pressure: Near normal
