A tropical wave will linger across the area over the next 24 hours resulting in cloudy spells along with periods of widely scattered showers. Some showers could be locally heavy at times with a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm. Thereafter a drier and more stable atmosphere will once again become dominant across the area and suppress any significant shower activity. Only brief passing early morning showers can be expected during that time.
