TIME/DATE: 5:00AM Saturday 04 August 2012

POSITION: 14.6N 29.7W or about 330 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde
Islands.

MOVEMENT: West-northwest at 14 knots.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 35 knots gusts 45 knots.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE:  1005mb.

DISCUSSION: Tropical Depression Six has now strengthened into Tropical Storm
Florence. There are no other changes at this time.  Presently this system is no threat to the
Virgin Islands however the Department of Disaster Management is monitoring the
situation and will continue to provide updates where necessary.  Please visit the DDM’s website and subscribe
