The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service personnel have contained the fire at Cox Heath to a specific area to prevent spreading.
Persons are urged to exercise extreme caution in the proximity of Cox Heath, particularly the elderly, children and individuals with respiratory illnesses, to avoid unnecessary exposure and impact from the smoke.
Where possible, residents are asked to use alternate routes to the neighbourhood.
