Urgent Weather Advisory

A high pressure system in our area will generate a light to moderate wind flow across the area. Meanwhile a trough in the vicinity has been creating some weak instability across the Territory and is producing the much-needed rainfall that we have been experiencing. This, together with available moisture, could trigger more showers across our islands today.

The Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities mobilized resources early this morning to clear problem areas.  They will continue to monitor the local conditions and respond accordingly.  Residents are asked to traverse the roadways carefully during heavy periods of rain as there are areas with loose rocks and debris that may cause difficulties for motorists and persons utilizing our roads.

Remember it is important to BE READY this Hurricane Season.
