WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE VI

Synopsis: Shallow remnant moisture from tropical wave that has moved west of the Leeward Islands will linger in the atmosphere over the Leeward Islands this morning and hence, the chance of some passing showers will remain high. However, later in the day and tonight, stable air moving back into the area will restrict shower activity.

Wx: 

Today: Cloudy with some passing showers possible during the morning. Later this afternoon, partly cloudy with little shower activity.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with just a light and brief shower possible.

Winds: Easterly at 10-16kts over land and peaking to near 18kts over open waters..

Seas: Moderate, height 1.5-1.8m or 5-6ft. Small craft operators should exercise caution in the coastal waters east and north of the Leeward Islands..

Barometric Pressure: Near normal.

Rainfall to date for the month of June: 51.9 mm/2.04 inches

Sunrise tomorrow:  5:36 am.
