A thick layer of Saharan dust continues to drift across the territory and will remain present in our atmosphere over the next 24 to 36 hours.

We expect dust concentrations to remain elevated through TODAY (Saturday), with gradual improvement possibly by Sunday afternoon.

⚠️ What to Expect:

  • Hazy or greyish skies

  • Warmer, drier air

  • Breathing discomfort, especially for people with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions

✅ Tips to Stay Safe:

  • Limit outdoor activities, especially during peak heat or if you feel any irritation

  • Keep windows and doors closed to reduce indoor dust exposure

  • Use air purifiers or fans with clean filters where possible

  • Stay hydrated and rest in cool, clean-air environments

  • Wear a mask if you need to be outside for long periods

  • Have any medications ready

While this weather event is seasonal and temporary, it can affect your daily comfort and health. Children, the elderly, and individuals with lung conditions should take extra care. We will continue to monitor the dust levels and provide timely updates.

Take care and protect your health during this dusty spell.
