UNSTABLE WEATHER APPROACHING THE LOCAL AREA

March 30, 2011931Views

30TH March 2011 – A surface trough located east of the Territory will continue to move west and into our area today. As this feature moves across the local area, it will bring abundant moisture and instability in the atmosphere and could possibly generate scattered to numerous showers across the islands. Some of these showers could be heavy at times, creating ponding of roads and flooding of low lying areas with poor drainage. No wide spread flooding is expected. Conditions are expected to improve later today into tonight.

The DDM will continue to monitor the weather conditions and advise the public accordingly. Visit the DDM’s website at www.bviddm.com and subscribe to receive updates.
