UNSTABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

May 29, 20191394Views

29TH May 2019 – An area of deep tropical moisture in conjunction with an upper level trough is generating showers and thunderstorms just south west of the Virgin Islands. Some of these showers and thunderstorms have the potential of moving over the local area and may create heavy downpours resulting in flooding of low lying areas with poor drainage.

The DDM will continue to monitor the weather conditions and provide updates where necessary. Persons at home and abroad are encouraged to download the DDM’s Alert app in the Apple App store or Google Play store to receive updates of any hazards affecting the Territory.
