According to the National Hurricane Centre, a broad low is producing a large area of disturbed weather extending a couple hundred miles northeast of the Bahamas.ย Environmental conditions are expected to become less favorable later today and development of this system is not expected as it moves generally north northeastward over the southwestern Atlantic at 5 to 10 mph during the next couple of days.
Meanwhile, the Antigua Met Office reports that a high pressure ridge will dominate the region for the next few days. In the Virgin Islands, showers could develop, mainly late Tuesday into Wednesday.
According to the BVI Weather Stem, some showers are likely for tomorrow afternoon, with an increased chance of showers going into Tuesday. Overall rainfall is expected to be approximately a quarter-inch in the Road Town area.
