DISTURBANCE 24 MOVING WNW

July 23, 20131161Views

Disturbance 24 (Invest 98L) is located in the eastern
Atlantic near 12.3N/23W and is moving WNW near 15 to 20 mph. The disturbance
has become a little better organized overnight and has a chance to become a
depression over the day or so.  However, environmental conditions will
become less favorable in a couple of days, and the system will likely
weaken.  Development chances have increased to about 40 percent over the
next 24 hours. Presently the system is not a threat to the Virgin Islands, however
the Department of Disaster Management will continue to monitor the system as it
progresses.  Please visit the DDM’s
website for further information or subscribe for updates.
